For the first image. Have to enjoy the journey. There will be a lot of speed bumps or different sizes, but if we enjoy the journey then it will be an easier ride. Like for example - I might have a crappy day, get injuries along the way, instead of getting bogged down by temporary hurdles, look at the long term goal and also try to enjoy the journey.
From @vis valluriUps and downs are part of the journey. Rarely in any endeavor is the path to the destination a straight line. We all have our good and bad days as we progress to the finish line. The key in this is to stick with the plan.
Specifically for rhwb, the path is a proven path tested over multiple seasons by several runners. Just sticking with the plan irrespective of the day to day fluctuations will take you to the goal.
While having your sight and commitment towards your goal, do appreciate the ups and downs. Get a kick out of the run on the good days and make sure you learn from the ones on not-so-good days to rise and go back up again. Enjoy the journey towards your destination.
Life is not always a smooth sail Sometimes we have to learn to (hustle )survive the twists and bends of so called life ! Just like 5 fingers are not the same ! Inspite of different size shape structure orientation texture etc etc they are still the important part of our body . When they all come together it renders a great unique performance . Same way , Running is very similar there will be tons of hair pin bends in our journey , testing our tolerance limits energy and effort but don’t lose hope … keep at it … keep going forward …at the end of road .. .. success will be waiting for you !
From @Suren MallickIt's a pleasent coincidence that I am reading the book - " Grit" by Angela Duckworth during my run these days.
In one of the chapters, it talks about " Deliberate Practice" and " Flow". 2 different theories on what it takes to deliver a flawless performance.
Relating it to MCQ, it's hard to build a routine, follow discipline and it take a lot of "deliberate practice", persistence and purpose to move through the grind and show up every day.
All the hard work leads to the "Flow" experience when you start enjoying your routine.
It has been 20 + months for me on this journey and I feel that it has just started 🏋️
When i looked at this picture it gave a beautiful smile in my face because my children facial expression of “there she goes again” flashed infront of my eyes when i always talk about the humps/ challenges in life. To enjoy the end goals, one needs to cross the humps. If there is no challenge, then one didnt live life.. Success is sweet only when one has endured the challenges in life.. applies in running context as well…Challenges are not struggles in this context. It is to enjoy highs and lows to achieve the end goal.
From @Dipti RayIt doesn’t matter the person likes it or not but if determined then just practice, practice and practice without any expectation of result . Because it will automatically come in multi fo
From @Shubha RamaswamyNot all runs are going to be perfect , there are going to be picture perfect PRS runs and then there are ok runs and then there are those utterly crappy runs 😂. But that’s what gets us to enjoy the perfect runs are knowing that we have endured less than perfect runs in less than perfect conditions. Like the classic kindergarten saying “you get what you get and don’t get upset” at the end of your runs , doesn’t mean we don’t put out best efforts for the runs but learn to accept the outcomes as well.
From @Anand DasguptaHere I see same steady habit forming state at start and end….Difference being .. habit state at start is ordinary….. . So you start something ( anything, not just running ) where you are consistently average … okish… thats ur steady sate day after day….then you work towards it, work hard and train everyday…and see great days or very ordinary days … ups and dows…..finally attaining habit forming daily excellence where doing great becomes a habit… steady state……to give simple running example- you start where you have to constantly look at ur watch to do say a reverse split …. After months of training and seeing many ups and downs.. finally you do a reverse split without looking at watch … steady state nirvana…..still not clear???? Ok so in simple language - To be a Bala/Vatsan/Deepak/Suja/Mo/Shilpa/Indu/Nayana/Sreedhar one day do not forget the daly “you” :) Be the “you” every day and one day the above steady state is bound to happen
From @Manova David Like in EKG, Bumpy ride is always good and will keep us going. We don’t want a flat line.

Atop the tallest mountain(end of Meso 4) and down the steepest slope( taper from there on) , the plains appear the closest.
