1. Liberty State and Jersey City Runs

2. D&R Canal
This is a long trail. you can start from any of these locations. You can't go wrong with this longest stretch of running trail in NJ. Make sure to wear the right shoes and weather conditions as it is not a paved trail

3. Metuchen Greenway
The home ground of many RHWB runners.
It is a 3.5 mile stretch with a bridge and a road crossing.
4. Jersey Shores Beach Runs
The Jersey Shore is famous for its seaside boardwalks with their arcades, water parks, amusement parks, and people watching opportunities. If you have a long run during summer, you wont realize where the time went while you clock your miles. Early mornings and late evenings are best times of the day to run.
Bradley Beach/Asbury Park
Beautiful for summer running. Boardwalk running, easy on your knees. Breezy and beautiful.

5. Saddle River Running Trail
If you happen to be in Paramus and Glen Rock area in NJ, don't miss this one. It has asphalt running trail next to river with clearly marked miles at 0.1 increment perfect for stride workouts. It has a beautiful 6 mile running stretch.

Nicely compiled Sridhar. Happy to note, I can check three off this list- Middlesex Greenway, Bradley beach/Avon Boardwalk, and Ocean City Boardwalk on the Jersey shore. It's quite an experience to run on the Boardwalk!
