“15 / 10 points for my coach Nayana. She is amazing at the running craft, and even more importantly making personal connects with the group. How can one be so positive and supportive ? Hats off to her.”

“This was 6 season with RHWB and my first season with coach Bobby. I noticed a lot of improvement in the quality of my running this season. During the warm up weeks, Coach Bobby constantly reminded me to watch my HR and adjust the pace to stay in the aerobic zone. As I mastered that skill he encouraged me to slowly work on the cadence. The constant encouragement and disciplined approach helped me improve my stats and enjoy the process. The instant feedback and thoughtful insights on every run made an incredible impact. Thank you, Coach!”

Thank you for the unwavering support, continuous encouragement, and constant belief in my potential. I truly couldn't have achieved these milestones without his mentorship.”

FAQ

Good questions.

Still stuck? The full FAQ covers the rest.

I’ve never run before. Is this for me?

Yes. Many RHWB runners started from the couch. Coaches build beginner plans around run/walk intervals, and the Ekalavya program is designed for brand-new runners.

Do I need to live near other members?

No. Runners train from 35 US states and 15 countries. You run on your own schedule and meet your group online, with local meetups where there are enough of us.

Who are the coaches?

Forty volunteers, each RRCA-certified and each an experienced marathoner. Coach Bala Sankaran founded the club in 2019.
