His story

From a 5K Goal to Three Full Marathons

Sriram lives in Westford, Massachusetts, with his wife Sushma, also an RHWB coach, and their son Rahul. He is one of the many RHWB runners whose entire family, including extended family, is part of the RHWB community.

This is Sriram, who lives in Westford, Massachusetts, with his wife Sushma, also an RHWB coach, and their son Rahul. Sriram is one of the many RHWB runners where the entire family, including extended family, is part of the RHWB community. He is an entrepreneur and product management professional, focusing on payment technologies to simplify commerce. Among his many interests, Sriram enjoys coaching kids in Lego competitions and playing recreational cricket.

Sriram’s running journey began fairly recently, during the pandemic (2020, Season 4), inspired by fellow Westford runners Aparna and Srivatsan. While running is a solo sport that demands a lot of self-motivation, grit, and dedication, Sriram attributes his continued progress and enthusiasm to the RHWB family, its social support network, and its structured training program, which keep him coming back season after season and pushing to new heights.

Running is likely the only sport where the answer to “Have you done this before?” is "yes" from most people you ask.

You won’t find such a positive response for sports like swimming or football, yet achieving peak performance in running, while avoiding injuries, requires a well-structured program and training.

RHWB coaches bring the RRCA structure to create a predictable running journey, leading to a sense of accomplishment at the end of every season. Following these principles, Sriram has completed multiple half marathons and three full marathons.

When Sriram first joined RHWB, his goal was to complete a 5K by the end of the season. Instead, he finished a half marathon by the season's end and a full marathon by the next.

Sriram feels, "Nowhere do you get the opportunity to have a support system like RHWB that motivates and encourages you to deliver more than what you thought you could.”
